Rolling out the Use Case Pattern in a team

We teach — the team rolls it out.

Three months to prepare the people who will carry it, about a year to roll it out. The expertise stays with you: the service specification, skills for your stack and a review that checks every PR all live in your repository.

How it works.

01

Carriers inside the team

Two or three of your people go through the product engineer programme — about three months. From there they lead the rollout, not an outside consultant: the expertise does not leave with him.

02

A pilot on one service

The first weeks: a specification for one of your services, skills for your stack, review on PRs. After the pilot you can see whether it works for you — the decision rests on facts, not promises.

03

A standard that holds on its own

The review skill checks every PR and quotes the rule that was broken. The training ends, the checking continues. That is what separates a rollout from a course whose knowledge never reached the code.

04

About a year of support

Walkthroughs, specification reviews, answers along the way. The team does the work — we make sure it knows how and does not drift.
